Understanding and taking action on Google Analytics data.
In class we spent a lot of time talking about radian 6. I think that this is a great tool. It is a good way to measure how your company is engaging customers on the web. It seems like the setup is on the difficult side but the employees of radian 6 will help you get started and once you get going it is simple to maintain. Radian 6 has created a large variety of widgets available to their clients, but also has the ability to create a custom widget to meet the companies’ needs.
My Question is: Can radian 6 reach their audience productively with the prices that they are currently charging or are they going to lose business to those which may not be as technologically advanced but do the same basic analytics jobs for a smaller price?
Learned: While I've heard the name Radius6 I never really knew what it was. It was fascinating to see how it can compile so much information all based off of a topic profile and then organize the information into easy categories to analyze. It seems this tool can really further a companies ability to efficiently use social media and openly communicate with their publics. I won't lie, some of the stuff Lauren was saying was a little over my head, but I would hope they would give a even more in depth lesson of Radius6 to their clients.
Question: While I do believe that Radius6 woud really help a company, is it really worth the $1000 - $5000/month?? I think it's cool and helpful but I wasn't sold that it's worth that price when there are free applications like FiltrBox and Google Alerts and such. Why should a company invest in Radius6??
