I think Brand-Yourself.com is a very useful tool. After we meet a new person we immediately look to facebook and Google to see what kind of information we can dig up on them. It is important when people do the same for us that we present ourselves in a way that is transparent. We want to present a professional image while allowing people to see a glimpse into our social lives.
$99 seems like a small price to pay for professionals and companies working to build their brand, but for students just entering the workforce, this is a big expense. My question is: are their other resources that offer the same thing but for a lower cost/ for free?
Many job seekers have asked me whether Facebook can be used in the job search process. Well the answer is definitely, “Yes, it can.” While I would generally suggest that a job seeker spend his or her time seeking opportunities on other networks simply due to the more social nature of Facebook, there are definitely ways that you can use Facebook in your job search.
